What we're here for

What we're not here for is illicit distillation. That's a federal offense, and as little as I think of that law or the rationale for it, it is the law. The techniques we'll be using, for the most part, will be maceration, and maybe, if we're feeling brave, percolation. We're seasoning alcohol, not producing it.

This blog is an outgrowth (and probable successor) of the Liqueur Making group on Flickr, for which there are now navigability concerns, owing to the recent radical and ill thought out redesign of Flickr. While I do not agree with the way in which policies regarding Webring navigability have been enforced, and the extremes to which that policy has been taken, I do agree with the general concept behind the policy, and I'm acting in response to that.
